Teeth Cleaning & Exam

Dental cleanings and exams are a major part of the preventive services, and are the foundation of healthy teeth.

Exam

During your initial visit, the doctor will perform a comprehensive dental exam including: diagnostic x-rays, gum disease evaluation, tooth decay examination and existing restoration examination. Biannual checkups allow for our dentists to identify minor issues before they become serious problems. That way, we can provide effective treatments to ensure long-lasting health for your teeth and gums.

Dental Cleanings

We use the latest, most effective products for a gentle, pain-free teeth cleaning. We remove calculus (hardened tartar) from above and below the gum line, remove plaque to prevent gum disease, and polishes teeth to remove stains and other debris left on teeth. Fresh and clean, white teeth.

Fluoride Treatments

Fluoride is great for keeping your teeth healthy and strong. Topical fluoride strengthens the teeth once they have matured by seeping into the outer surface of the tooth enamel, making the teeth more resistant to decay. We recommend that children have a professional application of fluoride twice a year during dental checkups.

X-rays

We offer digital x-rays in an effort to lower patients’ radiation exposure, and to provide the highest diagnostic value. We use x-ray information to safely and accurately detect hidden dental abnormalities and provide the best treatments for your condition.

Sealant

A sealant is a thin, plastic coating applied to the chewing surface of molars, premolars and any deep grooves in your teeth. These deep grooves are hard to clean and are very susceptible to decay. As more than 75% of tooth decay begins in these deep grooves, the sealants help prevent future decay and protect your teeth by sealing the grooves and creating a smooth surface that is easy to clean.
