Safety measures taken upon arrival
Upon arrival at our office, patients required to wear mask at all time. Only the patient is allowed to come in, their guests will be required to wait in their vehicles. – Patients will have their temperature taken with an infrared thermometer prior to being seen. – Patients must answer and submit screening questions. We are not treating anyone with a fever, cough, or other symptoms of a respiratory illness.
Reception Room and Front Desk Safety Measures
– Each patient is required to use provided hand sanitizer upon arrival, before entering our facility, and it will be available throughout the office for your convenience. – The chairs and tables in the reception area are being wiped down hourly. – We are not allowing additional guests to accommodate patients (unless necessary in certain circumstances) and preventing time being spent in the waiting room.
Patients in the Operatory
Before you enter the rooms, all surfaces have been cleaned and disinfected, including the dental chair, light, drawer handles and countertops. Any protective covers that are necessary are replaced as well. The chemicals we use to perform this are professional-grade and designed specifically for clinical environments. Patients will be asked to pre-rinse with a medicated mouthwash before any dental treatment Our staff will be undergoing daily screening protocol and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like masks and respirators (like N95), face shields, gloves, and gowns always in the office We are using High Volume Evacuators (suction) during hygiene appointments. We have a device called a Releaf that sits in the patient’s mouth to reduce the production of aerosols. In addition, curtains have been added to patient rooms as well as having an individual HEPA air purifier with UV in each operatory to turn over the air and eliminate the virus. In addition to our thorough disinfecting protocols, we have invested in a UV-C light which is great as a “second cleaning” source after autoclaving and more traditional cleanings of instruments. The UV-C LED disinfecting light is designed to eliminate up to 99.9% of the harmful germs, virus, and bacteria in the air We alternate each treatment room for appointment, which means the rooms are thorough and deep cleaned before the next patient can be safely treated.
